Midco is specialized in load testing services, our load testing machine test handling tools (Spider, Elevators, etc) up to 650 ton service. The machine and the service are API certified.

We are using the load test machine to conduct NDE tests in connection with MPI is a service which doesn’t require license from any manufacturer as long as the machine and the service meets API specifications.

Blohm + Voss Load test unit is used for load testing for the following hoisting equipment:

•      centre latch elevators with a payload of up to 650 tons

•      slip type elevators with a payload of up to 650 tons

•      side door elevators with a payload of up to 650 tons

•      slip type centre latch elevators with a payload of up to 650 tons

•      spiders with a payload of up to 650 tons

• MIDCO provides two types of load testing:

1.      Proof load testing as per API-8C & API- 8B (Specification of drilling &  production hoisting.

All critical areas of primary-load-carrying component shall be subjected to magnetic particular examination.

2.      Performance load testing as per API- 8B & API- 8C (Recommended practice for procedures for inspection, maintenance, Repair and Remanufacture  of hoisting equipment).

A performance load test may be used to verify the function of the equipment and its ability to perform under specific conditions or conjunction with the  other equipment or materials

The applying load shall not exceed the rating load of the equipment
